Case Study - Poinsettia Apartments St. Lucia

With recent changes to search preferences and the ongoing evolution of search, it was getting more difficult to get small hotels and tourism brands onto the first page of Google see evolution of search hurting tourism

We undertook this in the heat of a Penguin 2 update that took many small hotels off of the first page of Google search results for all competitive and relevant keywords. The prevailing preference of the main search engine was to list big Brands and OTAs. The strategy was to create over a dozen videos for St. Lucia apartments and st. lucia holiday living etc on Youtube and embed them on the website. (see stlucialiving channel).

Example St. Lucia Video Promotion

This was coupled with production of authoritative collateral, multimedia promotions and quality PR (Press Releases). Poinsettia Apartments made it to first page search results for several targeted keywords and was the only St. Accommmodation to be listed above the big brands. It was ahead of the Saint Lucia Tourism website and all local brands. See Poinsettia Apartments website

Travel to Exotic Places

Several original videos, articles, and  Press Releases  created a sustained #1 position on Google for this SIE optimized website.

This site was maintained in number one position on Search for several months. The SIE campaign requires consistent ongoing content marketing and promotions. At this time we have neglected it and it has fallen. We will re-boot this shortly. The fact is that with SIE we can leave a project and re-vitalize at any time.   Exotic Places was one of our first tests. It is a strategic name and will be used well in our overall niche marketing.

Bolivia Hotel Specials

100 articles, 5 minute video on culture and landscapes. The SIE optimized website with holiday packages. mobile and social bookings, continues to be on page 1 of search results for the optimized terms.

Party Destinations

A very competitive travel market. This SIE campaign involves ongoing video blogging and Press Releases along with a strong Social Media program.

This is our flagship tourism site with over 3 million unique visits per annum. It is the most widely indexed site on Barbados and continues to out-perform all other sites.

Barbados Holidays For all of the Family

In 2013 We started a campaign to brand the site and Barbados as the Most "Distinctively Charming" Island Destination - The campaign has been dramatically successful and it is still in the very early days of launch. The PR campaign has not kicked in and enjoys top position in search results for all related keywords.

Press & Media

A typical SIE Press Campaign by itself will have exposure to 30,000 users, be picked up by approx. 500 news outlets, including TV Broadcast media. The search engines will typically index 1000 pages related to a well timed and strategically executed SIE Press Campaign.

Our results with Press Campaigns are above average largely because our SIE promotional campaigns are timed to reinforce the PR. Press Releases do not happen in isolation, they are part of an overall campaign. They are coordinated with all article and video marketing, and promoted using the SocialIndexEngine networks and multiple channels on the internet.

The campaigns create thousands of timed mentions across multiple media. They are planned to provide sustained interest and attract niche markets over time.

We have successfully created many campaigns with significant and exceptional success. All have resulted in top position in search, increased exposure and more customers.

All case studies below have resulted in sustained page 1 position on the major search engines.
